Junkyard heats up in NMIMS Shirpur.

PARADIGMA, this event is also known as Junkyard, where the prototype must tackle the challenges in the form of mechanical or Electro magnetic forms without breaking the rules. This event took attraction to the students of mechanical and other streams by building something new which they were not aware from. The event was the brain child of Sujit Upadhyay and managed with the help of his ASME team Members and also with Student Section Advisor Prof. Sudhir Chaurey , with a time taken more then 2 hours by creating a fully functional thermocol boat with the help of two rubber bands , two pencils , glue, black tap , cutter and ice cream sticks. The event became more entertaining by the enthusiastic participation of the ASME members and the thirty participant groups (60 participants) present. The most interesting part of the event was the obstacles and resistances put in the water storage which was 2.5m long. What set the winners apart were originality of concept, innovation of design, simplicity in function, engineering base analysis and the efficiency of their equipment. Paradigma, the second of many upcoming ASME events has accelerated the growth of the ASME Student Section.
